KDF is thrilled to be bringing our dancers Progressing Ballet Technique. PBT is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program that is designed to enhance students' technique by focussing on training the muscle memory. It is unique and uses ballet-technique specific exercises to help strengthen and support dancers training.

These classes are available to students yr3 and up and requires equipment for class.

Performance DVD

* DVD collection is this Saturday (14th) from the leisure centre in broadbridge Heath opposite Tesco
* If you have let me know you can not collect on this day you are welcome to pick up the dvd on the first day back in September - if you would like it before please email me to arrange a convenient time for you to collect from my home address
* Please note ideally we would like everyone to collect Saturday 🙂 but those that have already emailed me to say they can’t please do email me to let me know if you will pick up first day back or if you would like to arrange to collect from me

Nothing like leaving on a high

Im thrilled to share with you that over the last few competitions not only has our Abbey Francis placed her dances but she has also won overall dancer of the day at one competition and also most entertaining dancer of the day at another

To top it all off today we heard that Abbey had passed her ISTD Inter Ballet exam with an absolutely amazing mark and an extremely high merit (may I add ….her very first ISTD exam ever)

We will keep you posted with the modern mark - we are still waiting for

Your dancing days are your best and at KDF we love to give our dancers brilliant memories and dance occasions - covid may have got in the way of a normal show!

…….But dvd recording day is something we would have never have done - All the students are loving it so far

Today is their last official day at KDF X 💜 ...

So every year at the end of the term, before the summer holidays we celebrate the beautiful young ladies that will be graduating from us at KDF

Due to covid I’m going to have to celebrate my gorgous graduating dancers a little bit differently this year

We have 4 graduating girls this year ❤️💜❤️💜 Abbie Simpson Abbey Francis Lorna MacRae Lucy Kirk

As the girls head in to the last 4 weeks of training with us I’m going to share a little bit about our 4 big girls each week

We have had Lorna Abbey F and Abbie S already

This week last but by no means least we have our Lucy

Lucy joined us with her brother and sister on the very first trial day when we launched KDF 8 years ago ! She is an OG and has been one of my big girls since the beginning.

Lucy has danced in lots of our dance styles, takes private singing lessons with us , done all our local performance events, taken exams, competed solos and groups, she has performed in all our KDF dance shows at the capitol, she has also been one of the KDF assistant teachers, danced on west end stages and visited Disney with us !

Lucy next year hopes to go on to Business management and marketing at Kent university

Well lucy all I can say is your family have been a huge part of KDF from the beginning! And 8 years have gone so quickly ! Thank you darling girl for making me a better teacher in more ways than one 😉🙃😃for being one of the most loyal students ever ……I genuinely think you and Mia support and represent KDF more than anyone (purple blood through those veins ) my last OG senior to leave ! I’m extremely proud of you and that big heart you have …..the last term has been lovely to see you lead and take charge of the team and that last win 🥇 meant so very much. All the best and you Kirk’s better come and visit xxx 😘
